The # 1 mistake you’re making on LinkedIn
The # 1 mistake you’re making on LinkedIn…
Not using it enough.
On an almost daily basis people say to me “I have a LinkedIn but I haven’t looked at in months”
☀️Job searching?
You should be using LinkedIn
☀️Currently working towards a degree?
You should be using LinkedIn
☀️Thinking about maybe job searching?
You should be using LinkedIn
☀️Happy at your current job?
Great! You should be using LinkedIn!
Not using LinkedIn enough, or not using it at all is the # 1 mistake I see all time.
Here are 5 ways you can use LinkedIn in 5 min or less regardless of where you’re at in your career:
💙Stay up to date with your favorite brands, competitors, dream companies, etc.
Following the companies that you’re interested will fill your feed with information about those companies and organizations - this is a great way to learn about new projects, job openings and provides an opportunity to interact with the companies content!
💙Interact with your connection’s content.
Like, comment, share the content that others are putting out there. Congratulating someone on a new position or “liking” a project that they posted about is a great way to maintain your connections
💙 Share a win or update.
You don’t have to write a novel to post on LinkedIn. Share an update on a project, share a photo of an event or give a shoutout to a coworker or mentor.
💙 Expand your network
Who have you been working with in the last year that you aren’t connected with on LinkedIn? Send those connection requests and don’t forget to add a note!
💙Give your profile a quick look
You don’t have to give your profile a complete overhaul, look for any information that is out of date or consider making small updates to your headline and summary!
