Job Browsing

Are you job browsing?

Job browsing, in my mind, is different that job searching.

A job search should be intentional and strategic, focused on your non-negotiables and with an ultimate goal of finding a new position.

Job browsing, is more of information gathering and is a good way to:

🗺find opportunities that you didn't even know you were looking for.

📲 stay up to date on the skills and types of experience that your industry is looking for

📝make note of different projects or tasks that you would like to incorporate into your current job

💰learn about salary trends in your field and to potentially provide a basis to negotiate a raise (do you research on this as it is industry and location specific)

🔮 see the different ways you can advance your career - when you're ready

Job browsing doesn't have to be something you do every week or even every month but knowing what your interested in and staying on top of the trends in your field is a great way to reduce your stress when you are looking to job search.
